About

Hello! I’m a ceramic artist based in the heart of Halifax’s vibrant North End. Working from my cozy studio, I create primarily with warm brown and white speckled stoneware, incorporating techniques like sgraffito carving, slip-cast molds, and decals to develop layered, expressive surfaces.

My practice is always evolving—shifting between functional and sculptural forms, from earthenware to stoneware. I explore a wide range of styles, moving between playful, nostalgic pieces inspired by travel and nature, and recently more traditional works focused on form, function, glaze interaction, and the relationship between color and texture.

Originally from the prairies, I’m a graduate of NSCAD University and the founder of Turnstile Pottery Cooperative. Since 2000, I’ve been deeply engaged in the ceramic arts—creating, teaching, and building community through clay.
